We strongly recommend using a computer for your lessons, but a tablet or phone can also work.
If you already have Zoom downloaded but need to update to the latest version, click here for instructions!

Zoom for Computers (Windows or Mac):

  1. Download Zoom Client to your computer by clicking here. For a video walkthrough, click here.

  2. Once downloaded, install Zoom on your computer.

  3. Login to your Zoom account. If you do not have an account, you will be prompted to create one for free.

  4. Once downloaded, installed and logged in, Zoom should look something like this:

  5. Next, you will adjust your audio settings by following along with the video below (text instructions continue under the video). Click here for the Spanish version.

  • Click your profile image or icon in the upper right corner of Zoom

  • Click Settings

  • A Settings window should pop up - click on Audio.

  • Under Microphone, remove the checkmark next to "Automatically adjust the microphone volume."

  • Under Audio Profile, Select "Original sound for musicians" and turn on "High fidelity music mode" and "Echo cancellation."

  • If using a Windows computer, Click Advanced at the end of the Audio settings of zoom and set the "Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers" to "Off (Windows - Raw)

  • Close the page, and there is a new button on the top left-hand corner "Original Sound for Musicians: Off."

  • Turn this ON

Zoom for Mobile Devices or Tablets:

  1. Download Zoom on your device.

    1. For Apple devices, you can do this in the App Store.

    2. For android devices, you can do this in the Google Play Store.

  2. Open the Zoom app and sign in.

    1. If you do not have a Zoom account, create one for free.
